Nicky has been playing the bagpipes with the Rotorua highland pipe band for the past 9 years.  When he turned up at the WHHS Semi finals in his kilt the girls went wild. Nicky played a medley including a traditional Scottish number with some familiar modern tunes including AC/DC and the theme of Star Wars. Judge Warren Houston also spent about 10 years in a Pipe Band and could not believe Nicky could make bag pipes do what he heard tonight. He said he had never heard anything like it before.
